This option takes out the extra formatting specific to Word without taking out header 1 tags, bold and italic tags etc. So if you have a document and wish to retain these from the Word document but lose the rest, try this option. Just check the html afterwards to see that there are not stray bits of code that you don’t need.
Also you may find working online that the normal copy and paste commands don’t work. You may have to use keyboard commands instead.
