sound quality- for a cheap tv the sound quality is acceptable. Definitely not the best sound i have heard but it gets the job done. If sound is important to you, some external speakers could easily do the trick.

Standard def cable quality- if youre like me, you dont have hd cable. This can be a big concern because hd tvs usually dont display what theyre capable of when running on a connection below what they can support. While the picture did become distorted when switching the programming to widescreen, from afar it was hardly noticeable
