Embed Youtube video into Word 2007 and convert to PDF
Embed a Youtube video into Word 2007 document and convert it to PDF.
This video first shows you how to embed any video into a Word 2007 document. To convert to PDF you will need a paid PDF creation program, Adobe PDF is the best. To download and embed a You Tube video visit Any Video Converter and you can watch videos on how to use AVC on this page.
If you don’t have Adobe PDF, you may want to see if the Writer program in Open Office will do the same thing, as this will import a Writer doc to a pdf easily, but I haven’t checked if it will accept an embbeded video as yet.
So you can use a You Tube video ( with permission) and enable it to play in a PDF file. Its very cool. You can put any video from your computer into a word document and then convert that document into a PDF file. This is absolutely awesome for creating tutorial books with the visual clarification of video.

My Office 2007 Word doesn’t have the Video group in the Insert tab of the ribbon. Is this a third party add on?

Nice tip. Some considerations though – the embedded video is going to bloat the PDF size so I’d recommend creating one with and one without video (just in case you need t o email them). Secondly, having a link to the online video allows the user to browse around your other videos too.. something they may miss if just looking at the PDF.
