The pc or personal computer has changed our lives. Some say its for the better and some think its for the worst. Either way, progress marches on regardless of what we think or say and we try and keep up as best we may.

If we are in the older age bracket, we may stubbornly resist getting and using a computer until a grandchild ask us why she can’t send us an email, or our children are working overseas and get frustrated because we won’t check their uploaded photos on flickr or picasa. It’s not that we are not curious, it’s just that it’s a big learning curve and we perhaps we also remember earlier tries when computers were less easy to use.

In the middle age bracket, their may be programs we have never used that are now required at work. Suddenly we are forced to learn as quickly as possible and we feel like a “dummie” if we cannot do it.
